Bakkavor Spalding has three factories based on the same site in Spalding, Lincolnshire, employing over 600 people. These production units produce soups, sauces, dips as part of our meals range as well as salad accompaniments such as coleslaw and pasta salads, sandwich wraps and food to go salads. To ensure that our products reach our clients when they should we have an opportunity to join our production site based Logistics teams. As one of our Logistics Operatives you will be responsible for moving finished products and raw materials between the different production areas and also potentially between different production sites at Spalding.

The role:
In this busy and fast-paced role, you will work closely with other members of our production team, which will include a lot of manual work using correct manual handling techniques as well mechanical aids to move various products across our Spalding site ensuring that the highest food safety and hygiene standards are met whilst performing your tasks.

This is a fast-paced role but the shifts will fly by and you’ll always have something to do. We will provide you with all appropriate PPE and full training to complete your role.

Job Accountabilities:

· Work independently and in small teams

· Assist team leader/manager where required

· Follow all Health & Safety regulations

· Work at speed and accurately on your assigned tasks

About You:

· Have previously worked in similar role within a fast-paced warehouse/logistics environment

· Have a good understanding of food safety best practice.

· Know how to work as part of a team

· Have an excellent attention to detail
