Bakkavor Desserts is based in Devizes, Wiltshire and specialises in making chilled desserts such as tarts, yum yums, doughnuts, pies and pastries. The site employs over 550 people and is one of three factories that are part of the Bakkavor Desserts sector in the UK.

Day to day duties will be:

• Supporting in the preparation and running of internal trials, including data collection and reviews.
• Understanding of and supporting in the organisation of testing requirements.
• Regular monitoring and controlling of stock levels, ordering when stocks are low or close to ‘end of life’.
• Awareness of compliance requirements, monitoring of process and factory areas, including food safety validations.
• Operating in a safe working manner and supporting the site/business on continues improvement relating to Health, Safety and Environment.

About you

Ideally you will have some experience within a food manufacturing environment as a Production Operative, QC or as an NPD Assistant that shows drive and enthusiasm for the Process Function.

You will have the ability to manage and prioritise workload – able to work at pace, show a level of resilience and adapt to changes in the working day.

You will have a good attention to detail, be able to prepare paperwork in a timely manner and show good communication and organisational skills.
