About The Role

Specsavers in Melksham are expanding and have an exciting opportunity for a Dispensing Optician to join their team. With a focus on flexibility, we are open to full-time and part-time applicants and would love to chat about your ideal working week. 

You will be working closely with the Optometrists to ensure that each customer you dispense receives a consistent quality handover, as well as manage aftersales service, including problem solving in a customer service focused ‘can do’ manner. Contributing to your achievement of individual and team sales targets is also crucial in this role. 

Our team are open and friendly, we have a minimum of 4 social events annually including team breakfasts, pizza nights, bowling and CPD events. 

About The Area

Melksham is a beautiful historic market town located in Wiltshire. The nearby kennet and avon canal offers great bike rides or walks. King George V Park, is a large lawn area with a children’s playground, a canoe club on the river and a recreation area. It’s also where some of the town’s bigger events take place. Melksham is also full of independent shops, pubs and cafés. There is a regular Tuesday market.

We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team.
