JOB SUMMARY:
A safety-focused Janitor with entry-level experience, specializing in commercial cleaning, inventory management, safety regulations, and communication. Adept at executing light and deep cleaning projects quickly and efficiently. Skilled at interfacing with diverse customers and teams in high-volume environments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
- Performs heavy and light cleaning duties.
- Operates floor scrubber equipment (both walk behind and ride along).
- Scrubs, wipes and sanitizes railings in facilities.
- Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/ or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Three years manufacturing experience (preferred)
- 6 months manufacturing experience (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Zamboni experience preferred.
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate within production and quality standards; including being able to operate/utilize all job- related equipment and training materials
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged sitting at least 8 hours, but up to 12 hours per day
- Lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds multiple times per hour
- Repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting
- Repetitive use of hands, including gripping, grasping, pinching, squeezing
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The majority of the job is performed in a production/manufacturing environment with some risk and harmful elements.
