We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Security Specialist, Assistance, to join our outstanding team of security professionals based in our Regional Security Centre in Chiswick, London, UK.
As a Security Specialist, Assistance you will take up a fast-paced role providing and supporting the delivery of professional and effective security assistance services for clients of International SOS by addressing the global security threats and risk challenges, with a focus on Europe, West and Central Africa and Maghreb & Sahel.
• Deliver high-quality security risk assessments, advice, and the coordination of security assistance on a profile and itinerary-specific basis to travellers, international assignees, domestic nationals, and client risk managers.
• Receive and assess all security related calls and ascertain the assistance requirements of Intl.SOS clients.
• Give security advice to callers, employers, employees and organise appropriate security assistance accordingly.
• Contribute to operational readiness by carrying out tasking to maintain and develop the security provider network and internal Concepts of Operations.
• Coordinate and oversee responses to security Requests for Assistance (RFAs), including the production of Plans of Action (POA) for specific client requirements.
You will need the following for success as a Security Specialist, Assistance:
• Proven experience in security intelligence or related field: military, government, NGO, journalism; academic studies.
• Independent travel experience to countries including challenging risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of the global political and security landscape, with a preferred focus on Europe, North & West Africa, Maghreb & Sahel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences in English.
• Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of risk assessments.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other applications.
• A degree or similar qualification in a field related to security, risk management, international politics or international relations. A Master’s degree in a similar field is an advantage
• Proficiency in French, Spanish, Italian, German or another regional language preferred.
