Overview:
The Corporate Marketing and Business Development team (Corp. M&BD) is responsible for supporting at the enterprise level Bechtel’s various marketing and business development teams in the areas of operations, prospecting, marketing, and customer centricity as well as providing functional management and support to our business development and proposal team members throughout the organization.
Position Summary:
· Focus primarily on the operations and customer centricity initiatives while also providing occasional support to other initiatives
Reports to and receives direct supervision from the Corporate Business Development Operations Lead, supporting other BD team members as required
Interfaces with the Corporate BD team, GBU Business Development teams, and project teams, globally
Develops and maintains Power BI dashboards
Deploys the customer survey including annual schedule development, survey execution, analysis, maintenance, and reporting
Provides technical and administrative support with customer centricity initiatives, specifically customer engagement plans
Consults and advises business development teams on the use of technology and digital tools (including AI) that could, will, or are being used to improve efficiencies, processes, and/or automation
Essential Job Duties:
Collects and processes raw data, conducts data analysis, identifies problems and makes recommendations
Prepares, coordinates, and issues various weekly and monthly reports
Conducts survey kick-off meetings with projects to communicate and address any issues or concerns
Drafts initial survey reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations
Stays updated on industry trends, changes, and best practices in data management / analysis - shares knowledge with the team
Streamlines and automates dashboard processes using Microsoft Fabric (Dataverse, Power Bi, Power Apps, etc.) software and technology tools
Creates visual representations of trends and data, communicating findings through reports, charts, graphs, and other visual means
Performs additional duties as required, including ad-hoc analysis, preparation of routine working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries
Basic Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly explain ideas and recommendations to a broad audience
Proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint for executing work processes
Understanding of emerging technologies and data analytics tools and processes
Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing raw data
Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel e.g. Power BI, Dataverse, etc.
Able to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent and 5 – 8 years of relevant experience
Fluency in both written and spoken English language skills required
Skills:
Has a customer-centric approach, ensuring exceptional service delivery in all interactions
Demonstrates an inquisitive nature, actively pursuing creative solutions for data gathering, analysis, and causation identification
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate capabilities of developing and maintaining Power BI Dashboards
Experience in various database and programming tools and languages
Familiarity with measuring customer satisfaction
Able to work independently or as part of a team and use good judgment in the execution of assigned tasks including the ability to seek direction as needed
Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives
