Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to support the UK&I installation programme across Getinge’s Life Science and Healthcare product portfolio. You will manage the interfaces between customer and internal resources to drive forward the UK&I installation programme and ensure the flawless execution of projects.

You will have the opportunity to make a difference by working to ensure that customer projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan, measure and report on project performance using appropriate technical verification to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs, and you will ensure alignment with the Getinge Service Strategy, Quality and Regulatory Compliance and the company's goals and objectives.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Manage the interfaces between customer and internal resources
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the timely and exact execution of projects
• Ensure that customer projects are delivered on-time, within scope (from order hand over to signed acceptance document) and within budget
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• European travel in order to participate in Factory Testing
• Participate to meetings with the customer at the installation site
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate technical verification to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and  techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and other related stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimise project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

Must have:

• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in life science or engineering sector
• Demonstrable experience at working in matrix based organisation
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills (English)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure planning and leading geographically dispersed teams to meet tight deadlines

Good to have:

• Project Management experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Recognised Project Management qualification, minimum APM PMQ or equivalent
• Experience of managing Installation and Commissioning resources
• Knowledge of Life Science regulatory environment,
• Educational background in the field of engineering in GMP

• Resilient, adept at quickly analysing issues and re-planning appropriate aspects of their project.   
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, articulate and proactive
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong IT skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team

Special Features/Conditions:

To help meet our goals of becoming CO2 neutral by 2025, we travel only if we must. In this role, you will be required to travel up to 80% within the UK & Ireland and internationally, to visit customer sites and company offices as necessary.
