About the role

Providing Hygiene support to factory and production equipment along with all required training to assist with tasks (Schedules, SOP’s) in a safe and effective manner. To assist with training of all staff including agency when required. Understand and follow company colour coding procedure for food contact cleaning and floor cleaning.

Adhere to company PPE requirements for safety and food safety (Overalls, Hair Nets, Beard Snoods, Ear protection etc.…).

Required to work and understand all aspects of Hygiene in all areas.

Key Responsibilities 

• Adherence to cleaning procedures and cleaning of factory environment ensuring SOP’s followed.
• Cleaning of production equipment.
• Co-operate with other members of hygiene team and other departments.
• Record activities via written schedules.
• Report any defects or faults.
• Adhere to company rules.
• Understanding of basic pest control as per. Training.
• Any other reasonable task requested.
• Firm understanding & fulfil duties to comply with Health & Safety.
• Report any near misses or accidents and support company in any investigations.
• Uphold the company values.

About you

• Experience gained in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as training will be given
• An understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Food safety and Health & Safety would be desirable
• The ability to comply with Hygiene Standard Operating Procedures, work well under pressure, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to speak, read and write clearly in English as well as good literacy skills (you must be able to pass entry numeracy and literacy tests)
• Be aware of the risk of allergies
• A team player with an enthusiastic attitude
• Have excellent time keeping and attendance levels
• Have the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
