Your new responsibilities
Design, document, program and commission automation enhancements to existing and new high-speed automotive lighting, packaging and electronic lighting assembly equipment.
Work within an automation team environment alongside mechanical, electrical and machine vision engineers.
Evaluate and propose upgrade paths for obsolete equipment.
Provide training for maintenance and other appropriate personnel on the use and support of machine control applications.
Assist with troubleshooting new and existing test and control systems.
Will be required to stay knowledgeable of latest machine control technology.
7-12 years’ experience designing, commissioning and troubleshooting automation test and control systems.
This position is 100% on-site based at the Hillsboro, NH manufacturing facility.
Electrical design including: control panel layout, power systems, I/O and commercial systems interfacing.
Programming of PLC’s (programmable logic control) and HMI’s (human/machine/interfaces). Siemens family of automation products preferred.
Various computer software related to automation design, documentation and project management. Prefer familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams products.
Higher level language experience for interfacing, manufacturing information systems (MES) and SCADA systems.
SMT and electronic testing experience desired.
Experience with control, operation and interfacing to a variety of industrial equipment types including lasers, welders, robots, motion control and machine vision systems.
Working knowledge of industry design and safety standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA-79 (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery).
Strong collaboration, communication and project management skills.
