Role Purpose

The Team Lead will primarily assure the Head of Site that all areas under their responsibility are being operated, controlled demonstrably and compliantly in line with the business expectations. You will have line management of the Site Accommodation Lead. Working for the Head of Site you will ensure the site is always in a state of readiness for audit.

 

Accountabilities of the Team Lead Site Operations - Compliance

  • Support HoS and wider site team in the safe and secure delivery of site team responsibilities.
  • Enable Management Review of energy, environment, and occupational health andsafety performance in accordance with ISO Standards.
  • Support the HoS with audit preparation and act as lead during assessment whilst ensuring a constant state of readiness in relation to audit requirements.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to all site occupants, visitors and stakeholders.
  • Recruit volunteers for key roles such as BIO’s, FW, First Aider and Silver Commanders and manage training as needed.
  • Participate in assurance activities for site including but not limited to internal assessment, external audit and demonstrable compliance with safety requirements.
  • Appoint, manage and liaise with Site Building Incident Officers. Liaise and hold forum with BIO’s throughout the year.
  • Ensure all findings/remedial from FRA’s are actioned.
  • Liaise and hold forums with BIO’s throughout the year, ensure training for warden/BIO training is managed and relevant information is fed into the HSEC.

 

This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week on site at Boscombe Down.

 

Essential experience of the Team Lead Site Operations - Compliance

  • Undertake regular reviews for each of the ISO standards applicable to Site. These are to include regular reviews to capture changes, ensuring each review meets both the ISO standard and aligns to the Operating Framework, mainly H&S, Energy and Environmental.
  • Ensure full representation at each Audit, including pre-audits, managing the auditprocess and providing Site representation for each.
  • Conduct Site Safety Inductions both in person and via Webex.
  • Meet the Goals allocated directly and support those of the wider function as a group approach to ensuring collective success.
  • Escalate all areas of concern and requested updates in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Providing assurance to HoS that BCE CAT Actions, Statements, allocation of responsibility and assurance of compliance within CAT is demonstrably assured
  • Track and manage Site related investigations, including an archive of past investigations.
  • Weekly triage of site related Incident Reports with HSE and action owners with escalation to HOS as appropriate.
  • Ensure all updates and actions are allocated as appropriate, updates are accurateand timely, closures do not exceed 60 days without updates and are managed through to closure.

  

Qualifications for the Team Lead – Site Coordinator

  1. Essential:
    Airfield Driving Permit
    MAA IOSH Managing Safely Certificate
  2. Desirable Training: 
    NEBOSH General Certificate
    Introduction to Emergency Planning –New Course via Wiltshire CC for all Silver ERT Responders  Internal Auditor (BSI or equivalent)
