Be part of the QinetiQ journey. We have a requirement for an Associate Cloud Engineer to deliver planned or requested activities which will depend on the requirements of the individual task delivering a high quality service to our customers.
The Role
As an Associate Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the UK Head of IT Services and the UK Shared services function within QinetiQ delivering IT Cloud services.
Day to day you will be doing the following:
• You will be working under supervision supporting the operational delivery of the cloud platform, primarily focusing on routine operations and supporting problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Supporting the design of new features by considering aspects such as utility, security, cost and time to implement these solutions in either direct par or an aligned service to the cloud platform.
• You will be assisting in developing solutions and services aligned to QinetiQ strategies and requirements, working with other members of the team and highlighting good use of cloud technologies within QinetiQ.
• You will be ensuring that support documentation is maintained, configured and that cloud services are update while working with other members of teams across QinetiQ to understand out catalogue needs,
Skills and Experience required of the Associate Cloud Engineer
• Experience of working within a Cloud environment and core AWS services such as – IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB , Cloudformation and Lambda.
• Experience working with DevOps tools such as Python and Git or have software engineering experience and the ability to code.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code(IAC) E.G Terraform and Cloudformation.
• Experience working with enterprise level IT systems.
• Familiarity with containerization and wider AWS technlologies.
Qualifications for the Associate Cloud Engineer.
• AWS cloud certifications or similar relevant experience.
The successful candidate will be able to achieve SC Clearance
