Role Purpose
The Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for creating a strong full funnel strategy and execution plan across E-retailer landscape. This individual will be responsible for managing the marketing investment budget and optimizing returns on advertising spend and promotional activities across the ecommerce channel.
To collaborate closely with digital team to unlock new growth opportunities.
Main Accountabilities
Design strategies/guidelines to channelize e-retailers on-platform traffic to brand efficiently, track conversion rates and make improvements through optimal Media & Marketing Spend Management. Own the e-comm media calendar & consolidate the same with digital team.
Define Performance media activities (Media mix) across On Platform and Out Platform media channel and drive media agency to strategize and execute marketing campaigns that drive high incremental return for the Beiersdorf Brands.
Events: Work closely with internal & external stakeholder to drive success in e-retailer events.
Key task is to manage (ownership) E-comm marketing budget and maximize returns on advertising and event activities across the e-retailers.
Instill a performance marketing (Test & Learn) mindset, by setting clear KPIs and managing a reporting process to effectively measure eComm marketing performance. This includes but isn't limited to tracking ROAS, Search & eComm marketing strategy.
Takes the lead on finding new and innovative ways to expand ecommerce business through existing and new media channels.
Define campaign success KPIs & Optimize by having regular engagements with the agency.
Collaborate: Works closely with Digital Brand, Brand Comms, and ecommerce team to drive testing, reporting, optimization and analysis on channel performance to identify key levers and opportunities for improvements with a Full Funnel approach.
Share best practises with regional and global teams to help educate and learn.
Leads communication with external agency teams, media partners and region/global to co-work effectively & also assess/monitor performance of the agency partners.
Proactively shares performance reports, analysis, and insights on the channel, that lead to A/B testing in the markets to generate better conversion across the funnel.
Driving execution of user acquisition campaigns that support BDF's growth initiatives while meeting budget requirements by close cooperation with local country marketing teams.
Your Profile
Strong technical understanding of e-retail media solutions across: Pure Players (Amazon / Jumia..), Omni-players (Carrefour/ Life..) & Last Milers (Noon / Instashop..) in AME market.
Experience in working on on-platform Search (keyword, Product); On-site display solutions (Targeted, Non-targeted) & off-platform (DSP, CPAS) solution. Along with other performance marketing solutions like Affiliates; Influencer marketing campaigns.
Successfully led joint business plannings (JBP) for media with key e-retailers across markets.
Agency management experience. Worked with multiple performance marketing agencies.
Have a good understanding of current digital marketing tools and strategies to be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution with Digital marketing/precision marketing teams.
Led Mega e-retailer Events by working with cross-functional team from concept to execution.
Test-Learn-Scale approach to solve complex business opportunities with media-hacks.
Experience of digital/e-retailer campaign reporting & analytics.
Domain expertise within CPG industry with proven record of accomplishment in digital/e-retail marketing roles.
Experience in audience segmentation & targeting, journey optimization and conversion modelling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proactiveness and ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, ability to use data-led insights to create a compelling story for colleagues.
Good presentation skills and rational / logical thinking.
