Job Title: Head of Private Asset Funds

With recent changes in the market, RLAM will be making a significant push into the Private Asset market. As a result, we are looking to build a brand-new team.

We are currently looking for a Head of Private Asset Funds to join us on a permanent basis in London.

This is an exciting time to join RLAM and contribute to the growth of our Private Assets business as we increase our offering over the next 5-10 years.  

About the role

• Leading the development and establishment of fund capabilities within the Private Assets market to meet the investment objectives and needs of its internal and external clients.
• Providing SME insight in the use of different fund structures for each of the different asset classes working across the firm on business cases and fund proposition.
• Driving the Private Assets teams’ interactions with the rest of the business. This includes liaison (and appointment) of fund Directors and working with any ManCo used by RLAM or RL Group.
• To enable RLAM to be able to offer more sophisticated funds to its clients as the variety of investment objectives and underlying asset classes increases.

About you

• Expert knowledge of Funds and Fund structures across the UK and EU.
• Expert knowledge of administration and non—fund management aspects of Private Markets.
• Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage complex projects whilst working across all levels of the organisation.
• Familiarity with ISDA and CSA arrangement as well as well as risk monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment and requirements of institutional clients.
• Previous experience working with Aladdin would be advantageous.
