Job Title: Account Manager - Protection

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 29th January 2024

 

As an Account Manager at Royal London, you will deliver agreed new business targets from a panel of Intermediaries in a manner that satisfies all regulatory and compliance responsibilities and meets our corporate objectives in providing a consultative sales approach.  

 

You will be based within the Protection team and will develop an already established panel through telephone-based account management.

 

About the role

 

  • Identify and promote new sales opportunities through various channels whilst ensuring a smooth, efficient, and professional sales process for the adviser and end customer
  • Create, maintain, and deliver a strategy plan to develop a panel of intermediaries
  • Deliver sales presentations to Intermediaries, promoting new and existing sales opportunities whilst developing and maintaining strong business relationships
  • Comply with the Sales Process and Compliance reporting requirements, ensuring competent status is maintained and all business risks are managed and mitigated effectively and reported to line manager

 

About you

 

  • Experience or knowledge of Protection products and propositions is desired
  • Sound understanding of the Financial Services industry
  • A desire to be QCF Level 4 qualified or part qualified with a protection specialism (RO1 and RO5) or be willing to achieve these in a 24-month period
  • Excellent Communication and influencing skills
  • Good problem solving & decision-making skills with the ability to promote a solution and gain intermediary buy in
  • Strong, active listening skills
  • Proactive and positive approach to work, and an exceptional team player
