Job Title: Technical PMO Manager - Tooling

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Edge        

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

As part of the PMO team, supporting the Senior PMO Manager – Centre of Excellence the primary objective of this role is to lead on the operational execution and development of our Portfolio, Programme and Project Reporting and Tooling capability and service offering.

 

You will lead a small team of Data, Tooling & Reporting PMO Analysts.  Maintaining a close relationship and collaborating with the Enterprise Portfolio Office and Delivery Oversight PMO Teams driving continuous improvement, and capability development.

 

About the role

 

  • Ensure defined standards, processes, templates are adhered to
  • Ensure timely and quality flow of information between sub-Portfolios, and Portfolio Office stakeholders
  • Collating complex data sources into usable dashboards to support decision making and insights for stakeholders
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop the appropriate tooling and reporting solution

 

About you

 

  • Highly skilled with Excel, VBA, Power BI
  • Highly experienced with PPM tools, with management config etc
  • Strong understanding of P3M principles and techniques
  • Experience in the management of portfolio, programme and project lifecycles
  • Experience of both Agile and Waterfall models and their application within a PMO
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand and be innovative in their approach to managing budgets and risk
