Job Title: PMO Manager – Agile Delivery

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Edge

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 10th March 2024

 

As part of the PMO team, supporting the Senior PMO Manager – Delivery Oversight the primary objective is to lead on oversight, challenge, and assurance activity across an Agile sub-portfolio. You will ensure the appropriate Governance, insights, delivery, and outcome reporting are timely and accurate in line with methodology to drive decision making across the Sub-Portfolio.

 

You will lead a small team of Delivery PMO Leads and Analysts.  Maintaining a close relationship and collaborate with the Enterprise Portfolio Office and the Centre of Excellence driving continuous improvement, and capability development.

 

About the role

 

  • Ensure defined standards, processes, templates are adhered to
  • Support with training, manage knowledge and provide independent assurance
  • Ensure timely and quality flow of information between the individual change teams and the overall Portfolio
  • Provide delivery support, oversight, and challenge to the change practitioners in the execution of change, ensuring that change is governed effectively and that reporting, and insights are timely, accurate and effective to drive decision making across the portfolio

 

About you

 

  • Must have experience of working with enduring teams; Squads, Value Streams or Goals.
  • Strong understanding and experience of working with Agile teams
  • Experience in the management of portfolio, programme and project lifecycles
  • Experience of both Agile and Waterfall models and their application within a PMO
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand and be innovative in their approach to managing budgets and risk
  • Experience of procurement and financial budget processes
