Job Title: Actuarial Technician – Pensions Commercials

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 22nd March 2024

 

We are looking for an Actuarial Technician to join the Pensions Commercials team within the Commercial function of the Royal London Group.

 

Within this role you will provide key support to the Pensions Commercials team. You will work closely with Distribution; largely focusing on the pricing of workplace pensions business which supports Distribution in securing new business and delivering towards Business Plan targets. You will also provide actuarial and analytical support as required by the team in response to commercial pensions queries. 

 

About the role

 

  • Provide excellent service in response to commercial pensions queries.
  • Ensure that information provided is accurate through closely following internal processes.
  • Maintain the systems/processes used within the required level of governance.
  • Suggest and deliver improvements to team processes.
  • Ensure procedure documentation is maintained and improved and meets any agreed standards.
  • Highlight any data and results issues to team manager.

 

 

About you

 

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Competent user of computer systems and Microsoft Suite, in particular MS Excel.
  • Ability to self-manage, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • An interest in financials and customer outcomes.
