As part of our growth plans for AMP8, we are currently recruiting for a Commercial Cost Specialist to join our Cost Control Team.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As a key player in our procurement process, you will be responsible for supporting £1.4 billion of contractor services to ensure the successful delivery of our capital programme. The Commercial Cost Specialist will play a key role in ensuring target prices in accordance with SOPs. You will provide workload allocation and efficiency calculations while utilising cost systems such as STUCA and Asite. You will also be involved in assisting in generating new Unit Cost Curves and Reviewing and approving efficiency tables.
The Cost Specialist will provide advice on cost-related processes and systems while offering commercial expertise to Quantity Surveyors. You will be expected to support handover and review meetings as well as monitoring and generating necessary reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
With this being a key role involved in £1.4 billion of contractor services, it is expected that you will have experience of consistently setting Target Prices aligned with commercial models. You will have the ability to analyse data to monitor Unit Costs and Schedule of Rates. You will also be required to liaise with contractors on pricing matters and collaborate with other departments on unit cost tools.
We are looking for someone with strong communication and presentation skills who has the ability to challenge stakeholders for accurate costings. As a Cost Specialist you will have excellent organisation and time management skills, experience in performance monitoring and reporting and a strong drive to deliver results.
