EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

As a Technical Operator, you’ll be part of a dynamic team, predominantly operating at Little Eaton. Your role will be to produce drinking water to high quality standards for our customers, in the most cost efficient and safe manner. You will work alongside a dedicated maintenance team, process team and Team Manager using control platforms such as SCADA and PRISM to operate the work. 

 

This opportunity is a 12 Month Secondment, for the first 6 months you will be trained whilst working on a daily shift pattern before transitioning to an alternative shift pattern which could include nights & weekends.

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

 

As a Technical Operator, you’ll be following water treatment processes and have a commitment to health and safety. Whilst you will be working as part of a team of 6 shift operators, you will be using various IT systems including MS packages, SCADA & PRISM to monitor and control the water treatment processes. As well as maintaining equipment you will be carrying out water quality analysis to ensure high standards are met.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

Having an excellent organisation skills and be efficient with the capability of completing a number of tasks at once whilst working well under pressure would be advantageous. We are looking for a candidate who can work unsupervised and within a team framework to meet deadlines and good communication skills. Having the ability to analyse information to spot potential problems would be beneficial and working shifts would be desirable. A full UK driving licence will be required for the role. 

 

The successful candidate will be required to achieve the qualification Level 2 –  Water Treatment Process Operator as part of their continuous development and delivered by our Academy.
