Our Bioresources team have an opportunity for you to join as our Bio Solids Compliance Technician.


In this role you will be responsible for managing the recycling of significant quantities of biosolids and clarification sludge annually to agricultural land or other disposal outlets within a rigorous regulatory framework. As Biosolids Compliance Technician, you will collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure safe operations and compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and assurance schemes. Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Ensure all operational activities are undertaken within budgetary targets and regulatory / code of practice / assurance scheme requirements
  • Understand when soil sample requests are required and manage soil sampling activity via admin support
  • Manage the creation of Contracts, Field Risk Assessments and Authorisations and entry in BIO in a professional and timely manner to facilitate deliveries and spreading
  • Daily liaison with Field Liaison Officers (FLO’s) to manage a sustainable landbank, recycling, spreading activities & site stocks
  • Review sample results via QUIS / BIO and challenge results if required
  • Regular communication with BR Ops / BR Process to monitor HACCP and Biosolids compliance and take appropriate actions in the event of non-compliance
  • Manage site stocks in conjunction with BR Ops / BR Process / FLO’s and other stakeholders.
  • Manage liming operation at a site level where required
  • Undertake audits on site / field sites to ensure compliance with regulations and ST policies and procedures

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 
To be successful In this role you be must be able to demonstrate experience in organizing and managing their own workload efficiently, alongside adept communication skills both in person and remotely, coupled with proficiency in IT tools including MS Office. Preferred qualifications include experience in contractor management, familiarity with BioResources processes and/or agriculture, expertise in stakeholder management and remote team participation, understanding of FACTS and/or BASIS, and proficiency in the use of GISST or mapping systems.

 

As travel for this role is required, you’ll need to hold a full UK driving licence.
