EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Workforce Planning & Optimisation function within Severn Trent is a critical part of our Field and Contact centre operations and they have a new opportunity to join the team as a Schedule & Delivery Team Leader.
The objective of the role is to lead and develop a team of front-line staff as well as being a technical expert for all things planning!
You’ll ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient work schedule for all planned and reactive work, making the best use of resource available and maximising productivity. You’ll make sure your team plan and communicate to our customers and operational colleagues within targeted timeframes.
This team is a high-volume and faced paced function and you’ll need a keen eye for detail and right first-time attitude, even when dealing with repetitive tasks.
As the team leader, you’ll be focused on managing an effective team, ensuring the highest standards of service are always delivered to our customers, ensuring all our performance and regulatory requirements are met and stakeholders are delighted in what we do.
You'll be based in our Pride Park site where you’ll be able to park for free or get to with ease with loads of local travel options. You’ll work within alongside our 320 strong Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team based across two Derby sites, who all love what they do.
In this role, you will be supporting our field operatives, and so we’re looking for you to work between a working window of hours 06:30 – 20:00, on a 8 week rota, working 1 weekend in 8. There are 3 types of shifts within the rota:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone to lead and inspire their team so someone who has led a team before or has mentored and coached others would fly in this role.
You’ll need to be performance savvy and able to engage and coach your teams to continually refine and improve their performance. You’ll have the opportunity to improve the Workforce Planning & Optimisation team by identifying better ways of working and be part of delivering that change.
Workforce Planning & Optimisation is a high energy, proactive function and you must be able to balance priorities and workload demands ensuring that we plan the optimal schedule for our field operatives and technicians and then support them to ensure that the plan is delivered.
Multi-tasking and the ability to think creatively and innovatively to achieve our plans is essential. You’ll use challenges and grow them into opportunities of improved ways of working is essential.
