EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Working within our forward-thinking Waste Water Recycling department, the role will be to safely operate and maintain a diverse range of equipment at Sewage Treatment works/Sewage Pumping Stations over the Nottinghamshire area. It’s not just about operating a sewerage plant and equipment, you’ll protect and enhance our regions environment, whilst providing an essential service to the community.
With support and training you’ll become part of a team of experts who are at the front line of enhancing our regions rivers. Day to day you’ll be responsible for make sure our treatment processes are working optimally to deliver this important work. But don’t worry there will be plenty of people on hand to support and come up with solutions to help you succeed. We’ll also welcome your ideas and a new mindset to continually improve what we do on a day-to-day basis.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake standby duties on a rota basis.
Any additional technical training required will also be covered and great working hours too (Monday - Thursday 7.30am-3.30pm and Friday 7.30am-3pm). The role will be based at our site in Stoke Bardolph.
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
• Passion to learn and work towards Operator technical training in Sewage and Sludge Treatment.
• Ensure sites and assets are operated at the minimum cost and in an energy efficient way.
• Comply with and contribute to statutory, company & treatment works policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours.
• Ability to work unsupervised and within a team framework to meet deadlines
• Flexible approach, with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Having experience in Wastewater Treatment or Sludge Treatment process knowledge would be very welcome but it’s not essential.
A full UK driving licence would be essential. The successful candidate will be required to achieve the qualification Level 2 – Waste Water Process Operator as part of their continuous development and delivered by our Academy.
