Hello, we’re Severn Trent Services, a commercial arm of the Severn Trent Group. We monitor and look after water systems as part of legionella control and provide water treatment services. We are now recruiting for a Customer Service Engineer to join the team, supporting the Nottingham area

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

As a Customer Service Engineer, you will deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health & safety compliance. You will provide the Severn Trent Services client base with Contract Management, Service Support, Specialising in Water Hygiene related activities such as Water Compliance related to Water Hygiene and Water Treatment.

Some of the other key accountabilities will be:

 

  • Identify, Develop and maintain relationships in relations to those clients within the geographical patch and renew and secure growth business associated with allocated client base.
     
  • Carrying out water monitoring and associated tasks in line with ACoP L8 and completion of all required documentation to ensure compliance and legislation.
     
  • Providing support to both customers and colleagues with technical input where required and carry out Hazard/Risk assessments as required on each individual site.
     
  • Carry out chemical analysis and verification checks of boiler, cooling and process waters, including any sampling requirements for both chemical and microbiological analysis.  

 

This will be a start from home role, with travel across your allocated region as required in one of our company vans, for this reason you will need a Full UK driving license. 

  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

Our new Customer Service Engineer would ideally have:  

 

  • Experience within Water Treatment Industry, sampling analysis and dosing of boiler, cooling and closed systems.
  • Ability to work alone in a multi-site capacity.
  • Knowledge of both Domestic and Industrial water systems
  • Computer & smart phone literacy

 

It would be useful if you had a working knowledge of the applicable legislation and guidance material (ACoP L8, HTM: 0401, Water Regulations, BS 8580), but isn’t essential as we provide full training to all staff from Day 1

  

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
