You will work closely with business colleagues to achieve improved delivery of change and to help refine business processes. To ensure success you will work closely with Business Analyst lead and Colloration Centre Leads, to ensure alignment and prioritisation of delivery across all areas of the business. You will help develop a good understanding of business objectives, improve communication and deliver value earlier.
Working for an in-house IT Department is a great opportunity to be flexible and responsive in your approach while remaining focussed on providing excellent service to the wider Welsh Water business.
As part of a team of Business Analysts you will be responsible for:
• Working with business stakeholders to define Product Vision
• Work with stakeholders to gather and document epics, user stories/features and acceptance criteria
• Work with stakeholders to define the MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
• Apply 80:20 and end-to-end thinking to deliver early business value and 'right first time' solutions
• Work with stakeholders to prioritise and manage the product backlog
• Perform sprint planning
• Understand the use of, and contribute to retrospectives
• Understand and apply modelling techniques that support business analysis (including process modelling, use cases etc)
• Work with business stakeholders to gather and document different types and levels of requirement
• Work with business stakeholders to define, scope and initiate a project
• Break-down complex business scenarios or problems into process and data models
• Apply techniques to validate requirements and uncover missing requirements ensuring a robust end-to-end solution
• Work with stakeholders to develop optimum solutions to defined requirements
• Confidently present findings to business users
• Identify costs, impacts and risks for the business case
• Identify business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Work with stakeholders to identify and quantify business benefits and ensure they are tracked through to delivery
• Work with all areas of ITS and IT partners to ensure clear understanding of requirements
