Assisting the Visitor Experience Manager and team to safeguard and assist members of the public who visit the Reservoir, from Monday to Sunday during the open season. This will include:
• Be smart and presentable, and able to communicate in a constructive, knowledgeable and helpful way with visitors, projecting a positive image of Dwr Cymru at all times
• Take part in the team rota that will involve working up to 37 hours a week, to include weekends and bank holidays, working early or late shifts to give cover as required
• Safeguard the Safety of all persons on site, including sailors, paddlers, walkers, bird watchers etc
• Maintain the upkeep and tidiness of the site, litter picking, toilet cleaning, building upkeep, and maintenance of amenity routes and facilities, gates, fences, signage.
• Engage with visitors as an ambassador of Dwr Cymru, communicating the strict SSSi rules and site regulations as presented by the site LEMP.
• Enforce the rules of the site and the waterside, promoting close adherence to the site LEMP.
• Support in the provision of biodiversity, conservation and educational talks, public access and recreational activities, open days, events and visiting schools.
• Carry out any other tasks as required for the effective management of the site
You will be working opened our brand-new Visitor Attraction site at Lisvane Llanishen, North Cardiff, which is open all year round. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to join Welsh Water. The site boasts, a state-of-the-art Visitor Attraction building with 200 cover restaurant, balcony with views over both reservoirs, group and cubicle changing rooms, both land and water based activities, education learning space, bird hides & islands, meeting rooms and a Grab & Go.
