What you’ll be responsible for


 

The successful candidate will be working within our Customer Service delivery team. This position will deal with our initial customer response to sewerage incidents across the business area. You will receive job instructions via an electronic work management system and be expected to provide feedback via the same route. 
 
You will be required to undertake all tasks associated with delivering excellent customer service to all customers. The position will be required to undertake the following operations (but this not solely restricted to those examples listed below) 
 
Examples are:

  • Responding to customer reported incidents and clearing blockages / jetting and providing detailed feedback on actions taken.
  • Sewer Location Surveys
  • Jetting / Flushing / De-silting of Sewers / Lone Working
  • Planned and Reactive Maintenance of assets
  • Liaison with customers and stakeholders
  • Detailed and timely completion of actions taken on all incidents in the work management systems.
  • Ability to operate and assess asset condition utilising looksee CCTV equipment.
  • Cleaning up affected area following flooding events.
  • Surface Water Rebate Inspections

About you

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 
 

  • Full HGV Driver’s License C1 
  • Experience in sewerage maintenance work would be an advantage.
  • IT Literate however training will be provided on the IT systems we use.
  • Any qualifications in Manual Handling, Confined Space Training, High Pressure Jetting training would be advantageous.
  • Able to assess risk and adopt a safe working practice to undertake task.
  • Always strives to exceed customer expectations delivering a great customer experience.
  • Excellent communicator and coordinator.
  • Be flexible to meet team and company goals.

  • Successful candidate must be able to provide a copy of C1 license
  • Site based role
  • 5 week rolling shift pattern including evenings and weekends (working 1 weekend on shift in 5)
  • Requirement to cover standby 7 days out of 5 weeks (including 1 weekend standby cover) 
  • Additional payments for standby cover and callouts
  • Company vehicle provided for business use
