What you’ll be responsible for


 

Operate Water Treatment Works and associated water pumping stations to company BMS and Health &Safety requirements. This will include:
 
 
    • Controlling chemical and other stock levels and consumables by control and management of purchasing via SAP. Monitoring and controlling expenditure to meet budgetary targets.
    • Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control
    • To liaise with ME&I craft colleagues on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
    • Liaising and planning work with network supervisors and operatives to ensure uninterrupted supply when plant shutdowns are required for maintenance and other associated work required on site

  • Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.

About you

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

 

• NVQ Level 2 or higher, BTEC, ONC/HNC qualifications in Water would be desirable but full training is provided for this role
• Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S issues
• Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day
• Computer systems literate including Word and Excel
• Awareness of regulatory bodies such as DWI and Environment Agency/NRW
• Full clean UK Drivers License

    •    Site based work 
    •    Company Vehicle Provided for business use
    •    Requirement to cover standby 1 in 5 and 260 hours of planned overtime with additional earning potential of up to £3000 a year
•    Shift pattern Mon-Fri  8-4pm
