What you’ll be responsible for

As Statutory Maintenance Technician you will:

 

  • Develop knowledge of regulations, ACoP, guidance and best practice in specific subject areas, equipment types and activities.  E.G, lifting equipment, pressure systems, gas systems and DSEAR, ventilation and LEV, Air Con, legionella, water regulations, COSHH, etc.
  • Support the departments data team by updating Microsoft trackers and data portals. 
  • Support operational teams to comply with legislative requirements.
  • Support the Statutory Maintenance Engineers. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Positively engage with all DCWW Health and Safety requirements.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a positive, stimulating, and challenging culture by taking a professional approach to interactions and effective communications. 
  • Adapt to change and challenges.
  • Provide technical advice.
  • Monitor inspection reports and defects and set remedial actions. 
  • Keep inspection data portals and databases up to date.
  • Co-ordinate Statutory Maintenance regimes.
  • Support all departments in operational services. 
  • Train to become Legionella authorised person.
  • Manage contractors for installation and maintenance projects

About you

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

  • Craft/Technician Apprentice served or a good engineering aptitude 
  • Experience in an industrial or building services environment
  • Experience in Water and wastewater sector
  • Knowledge of process equipment and maintenance activities
  • IT skills, data entry, and management of data systems
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
