What you’ll be responsible for

Our Cartref programme of works helps customers to identify and fix common internal leaks such as toilets and educate them in how to be more water efficient. You will support the delivery of the Cartref programme, by developing, trialling, and delivering our water efficiency support offerings, whilst promoting the wider Cartref offerings both within the company and to our customer base. Our customers range from typical domestic customers, to charities, housing associations or a local council.


As Water Demand Coordinator you will be responsible for:

 

  • Promoting and managing our Water Efficiency package of offerings within the Cartref Programme. 
  • Supporting the Cartref Programme manager and Water Efficiency Project Manager in the delivery of the Get Water Fit contract and services, including monthly reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Working alongside the Water Efficiency Project manager, and Cartref management team to effectively move water efficiency concepts from strategy and initial identification through to delivery through the Cartref programme. 
  • Management of a budget to support customer engagement both virtually and out in the field within communities.  
  • Supporting and reporting on our water efficiency delivery within the community, working with the Welsh Water Education team and community engagement teams. 
  • To engage with communities and all external stakeholders in relation to company activity with specific emphasis on Water Efficiency and the reduction of wastage. 
  • Support the Water Engineering team, to engage and support with industry wide collaboration works including OFWAT Innovation competitions. 
  • Working within the community on an ad-hoc basis outside of core work hours. 
  • Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
  • This role will be subject to participation in an appropriate standby rota.
  • Driving licence required as travelling and occasional overnight stays will be required.

About you

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

  • A proven track record in providing excellent customer service. 
  • The ability to recognise and rise to the challenges of driving and embedding change in a rapidly moving environment
  • Enthusiastic & self-motivated with an eye for detail, and be able to demonstrate excellent  organisational skills
  • An understanding of our corporate level water efficiency targets (PCC) and the challenges around delivery (desirable) 
  • The ability to work to defined deadlines and prioritise workload in order to meet those deadlines        

Good to know

 

  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Hybrid working – combination of office, home and site based in the community. 
  • Potential of weekend or evening working to accommodate community events. 
  • Work base negotiable
