What you’ll be responsible for

You will be working with a fantastic supportive team and this role will see you undertaking a variety of duties, including: 

•    Serving customers and waiting on tables 
•    Assist with food preparation/cooking before and during service periods
•    Displaying food items and restocking the counter 
•    Ensure that tables are kept clean and available for customers 
•    Operating the till 
•    To ensure a courteous and friendly cafe service is provided to each and every customer

About you

No previous experience is required. 

• We will provide you with full training to ensure you are comfortable in work.
• We would like to see applications from candidates who are positive, friendly, can work under their own initiative, and are happy to work with the public!
• Previous experience of working in a cafe/restaurant/bar would be fantastic, but not essential.

The ability to speak Welsh would be desirable, not essential

Good to know

• We are just 20 miles from Cardiff, Wales’ capital city and under 10 miles from the city of Newport. The nearest town is Pontypool.
• Casual  positions available with variable hours including regular weekend and bank holidays (hours between 9am and 6pm with a flexible working approach)
• Due to the nature of the industry, we require satisfactory references, post offer medical clearance, and a criminal records Basic Disclosure check on all new employees joining the business. For some roles there may be additional checks and security clearance required, and this offer is subject all checks being satisfied. You will receive further information on how to complete these checks via email once you have accepted this offer.
