Do meaningful work in your community. BAYADA Direct Support Professionals - DSPs work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential.

We have job openings in the following locations:  

• Shelby 
  • M-F 5p-8p (40 hours, Day hours in the summer)  
  • PRN Overnight and Weekends help. (2-3 in a row) 

• Kings Mountain-
  • M-F afternoons 4-8:30/9p 
  • Every Other Fri,Sat Sun day hours (community)
• Lawndale
  • Weekends days and/or afternoons (Personal Care, home & community hours)

Job Responsibilities for DSPs:

• You will provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• You will accompany clients on errands and appointments
• You will spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• You will assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• You will participate in community integration activities

Qualifications for DSPs:

• One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, training is available through our apprentice program
• High school diploma or equivalent
