PeopleCert is looking for a Senior Product Manager to take our LanguageCert portfolio of exams to the next level of success – developing compelling propositions for globally recognised products such as LanguageCert Academic, LanguageCert General, IESOL, SELT and LTE, that ensure wide adoption among current audiences, new sectors and markets. You will be responsible for the success of one or more of the key products related to the LanguageCert portfolio, including certifications and publications.

As Senior Product Manager for the LanguageCert portfolio, you will work closely with teams across the business in order to deliver the overall roadmap and achieve commercial success for the entire portfolio.
As a Senior Product Manager, your tasks include the following:
- Define the vision, purpose, positioning, key elements and differentiators for the one of the key exams in the LanguageCert portfolio
- Define and execute the product roadmap, focusing on new opportunities and maintaining relevance of our existing portfolios
- Drive a strategic view of content development to ensure the LanguageCert portfolio is supported by appropriate thought leadership materials, to promote awareness and adoption of best practice
- Work proactively and collaboratively with teams across the business to ensure all aspects of product development, launch and in-market support are considered early in the business case and product design phase
- Ensure the successful development and launch of new or updated products
- Gather all market research/opportunity analysis associated with a potential new product
- Participate in all aspects of Product design, including: Persona development; Full end-to-end User Journeys; Service blueprints; key content and technical specifications
- Design and manage the testing strategy for all products in development, to ensure they are consistently meeting the needs of our target audiences
- Prioritise maintenance and improvement activities for each product in market, to ensure continued relevance and positive customer experience
- Input key elements to the Go to Market plans that are developed by Marketing, including positioning, key messaging, pricing etc
What we look for:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role in English Language teaching sector
- Bachelor’s in marketing, business, or related field. Master’s degree a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
- Demonstrated experience managing a solution-based product portfolio – vision, proposition development, launch and lifecycle management
- Comprehensive knowledge of one of the following sectors; English Language teaching, general education, or accreditation will be a plus
- Familiarity with all elements of product management from discovery to delivery
- Proven ability to evaluate product feedback objectively, and propose solutions to address business needs
- Strong business/commercial acumen
- Proven experience in developing marketing plans and campaigns, experience in B2B product marketing would also be a plus
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties around the world
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions for challenging problems

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
- If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
