20 hours per week, days with some on call.

Main Function:

• Provides alcohol & drug testing. Assists clinical & clerical staff to facilitate flow of patients & health information for customers’ medical records.
• Supports nursing and medical staff in the admission, treatment & discharge of patients.
• Responsible for training of clinic staff in collection of specimens for drug tests and collection.
• Troubleshoots problems with technical equipment. 

Required Job Specific Competencies:

• Demonstrates skill in AED, Breath Alcohol technician, audiogram and spirometry calibration and test administration, ECG, DOT and non-DOT urine drug collection.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, providers, associates & corporate customers. 
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system. 
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.

Qualifications:

• CPR Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or emergency department preferred.
• Knows spelling and use of medical terms.
• Must possess excellent patient/public relations and communication skills.
• Proficient in data entry.

Pay Range: $16.50 - $20.00

Starting Pay: Based on Experience
