The Role: As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the inventory and stock management process in store. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels, conducting regular stock audits, analysing data to optimize inventory turnover, and coordinating with various departments to maintain efficient stock operations. You will also ensure that the store has the right product available at the right time, whilst minimising stock discrepancies and losses.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock delivery and check for accuracy and quality.
• Ensure that stock... is properly labelled, priced, and organized in the stockroom.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, domestic and international stock movements, and stock discrepancies.
• Prepare bi-annual stock takes to reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform cycle counts to monitor and analyse inventory data to optimize stock levels, turnover, and replenishment processes.
• Implement and enforce stock control procedures, stock rotation, and stock security measures.
• Assist Management with identifying slow moving or obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve stock-related issues, such as shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to stock management.
• Assist with stock replenishment and merchandising activities as needed, including pricing, tagging, and product placement.
• Maintain a clean and organised stockroom and backroom area, adhering to safety and security guidelines.
• Involvement in store meetings, training, and other activities and responsibilities as required.
• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous stock operations or retail operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of stock control procedures, inventory management principles, and retail operations.
