There’s a knack to selling healthcare technology consultancy services and product development solutions. It’s a world away from product sales. It’s not about KPIs and rinse-and-repeat processes. Instead, at TTP, you’ll discover our growth strategy is driven by a collective effort to nurture long-term working relationships to advance the creation of ground-breaking technologies.
That’s where you fit in - as the Business Development Lead for our Imaging and Intervention team.
From the get-go, you’ll be supported by a team of scientists and engineers who develop high-tech healthcare solutions. They’ve got their fingers on the pulse of market trends and growth areas. So, you’ll get to leverage warm leads and build new relationships in our target growth markets.
Our services in imaging and intervention are niche and highly valued. And we constantly strive to maintain our reputation for excellence and pioneering expertise. The team’s projects span medical imaging, robotic surgery, endoscopy, surgical navigation, intra-operative sensing/imaging, and energy delivery devices. Together, we steer projects from concept through to verification and validation. All this means that your work could directly impact the advancement of technological healthcare innovations.
Underpinned by a culture of freedom. You’ll get to use your creative flair to foster and develop customer relationships to build a solid sales pipeline. For some in the team, you’ll be a mentor, encouraging them towards best practices for business development. For others, you’ll be their trusted BD partner and ‘door-opener’. And, for the team, you’ll get to ignite a sense of anticipation and excitement about the extraordinary growth potential and realised sales.
You’ll get to build partnerships with the world’s most ambitious companies on projects that could shape the future of global healthcare. And you’ll play a pivotal role in the process by delivering the team’s value proposition to new prospects in a way that reflects their unique challenges.
Requirements
You’re probably a seasoned business developer with a background in opening doors and qualifying leads. Your successful initial introductions will lead to prospects meeting with our technical experts, so this role is more about identifying and qualifying leads than closing technical negotiations. If you’ve sold services before, you’ll know the nuances of adapting to the needs of each new prospect.
What matters most is your ability to ask the right questions and absorb significant amounts of information as part of the nurturing journey. Every client has unique needs, so every solution is bespoke. That takes tact, intelligence, guile and a listen-first mindset.
You’ll have opportunities to travel internationally to meet with clients and attend global conferences. Depending on your prospecting focus, you could make between 6 and 12 trips each year to visit prospects, keep up to date with the state of the art at academic conferences, and discuss value propositions at trade shows.
Benefits
Our culture is based on working together, and we often find that it is enhanced by being in the same space. So, our new Campus has been designed to foster collaboration and innovation and support a healthy work-life balance.
