THE ROLE This is a new and crucial role at the agency, which is the first port of call for any new briefs that are being requested into the design studio and production team. You will also be supporting the Head of Creative, Design Directors and Production Managers with the day-to-day capacity of the wider team, monitoring the types of briefs that get requested and tracking utilisation capacity. You will be the go-to person for all internal stakeholders within the Business who want design, production or creative support. As Studio Traffic Manager you will: - Review and create new systems/processes that are accessible to all studio and production team members, which at all times, are up to date and an- accurate record/schedule of all projects within the studio, ensuring the most effective ways of working. - Assessing incoming briefs to ensure they are completed correctly, creating detailed timing plans (where needed) and managing resources. - Working with the Design Directors, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects through day-to-day coordination of the studio team members by effectively identifying and managing resources. - Confidently manage the expectations of all stakeholders and commutating project updates. - Have weekly briefing meetings with all departments to discuss their requirements and deadlines. - Work with the wider Business to help them understand the correct briefing process. - Monitor projects and workloads, checking for capacity or cost issues and adjusting accordingly. - Maintain job files – opening job numbers, creating files on the server and ensuring all projects are filled correctly. - Tag briefs by type so we can accurately track types of projects and forecast for future needs - Manage freelance requirements and bookings The Ideal Candidate - A minimum of 5 years working in Studio or design traffic management Apple Mac/computer literate. You will have experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. - Knowledgeable of the print/production process. You will have experience in a design studio, having worked with graphic designers, and have a strong understanding of the design and print/production process. - Knows how to spot a bad brief! - Highly organised. You will facilitate focus, accuracy and quality in the relentlessly fast-paced environment of a studio environment. - A strong communicator. Managing multiple stakeholders across the business - show strong integrity, energy and enthusiasm while also being able to motivate, inspire and collaboratively lead resources. - Focused and self-motivated. You will have the ability to work effectively to help deliver projects to deadlines. - Comfortable managing a heavy workload, multi-tasking, and juggling numerous projects at any one time. - Calm within a busy environment.
