We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Equipment Technician to join our UK team. The successful candidate will work remotely from their home in the Midlands region, with frequent travel throughout the UK to various client sites. As a Field Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our chemical dosing equipment to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND TASKS:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  • Install, configure, and test equipment at client sites across the UK.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to identify and address any issues proactively.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve technical problems efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service reports.
  • Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of our equipment.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and new technologies to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies while working onsite.
  • Demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and follow safe work practices.
  • Refurbish returned parts and equipment.
  • Assemble and repair parts as needed.
  • Use of the full Office 365 package including but not limited to Outlook Mail, Excel and Word.

The ideal candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate experience in all areas mentioned above.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.  

  • A certification or degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance/engineering and/or related college or technical level course work is preferred, but relevant on the job experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of three years of industrial maintenance experience including comprehensive knowledge in three or more of the following areas are required as a minimum:
    • Electricity & motor controls
    • Controls & instrumentation
    • PLC/software & hardware
    • Pneumatics
    • Mechanical systems
    • Predictive maintenance
    • Maintenance Planning
    • System analysis & troubleshooting
  • Strong computer skills are required for this position.
  • Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK as required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Auto CAD experience would be advantageous.
