Position Summary We are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team and be a strong independent contributor to accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The primary focus of this position is to contribute to daily accounting operations, perform account analysis and reconciliations, support financial statement preparation, cash flow analysis, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This is a multidisciplinary role & this individual will further interface across many parts of the company to help drive business and financial results. The successful candidate will be a strong individual contributor who has a proven track record of problem solving and process optimization. This is a hands-on position. Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, and be prepared to tackle a broad selection of challenges as the company grows.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Perform cash reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness
Manage prepaid expenses, including recording, amortization, and reconciliation
Manage and reconcile corporate and virtual credit card transactions
Monitor and record accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting
Review and reconcile monthly reporting packages from international operations, including tie-out of supporting schedules and account reconciliations
Assist with monthly consolidated financial statement flux analysis reports for management
Accounts Payable back-up and support
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and automation of accounting and reporting processes
Assist in quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather financial information
Support general corporate accounting matters and ad hoc projects or requests
Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent in accounting or related field
3+ years of corporate accounting experience
Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
Quick learner, ability to identify issues and resolve problems by applying critical thinking to complex accounting issues
Strong experience and knowledge in U.S. GAAP and internal controls
Strong Excel skills
Experience with SAP preferred
