Job Descrption
Job Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a senior developer with a strong background in theMicrosoft Development Ecosystem, including .NET/C#, Azure and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate willhave a background in developing SaaS based enterprise level applications hosted in Azure and using Azure PaaS services You will join the Platform Team, responsible for developing shared services consumed by other products within Star (for example, audit service, user management service, notification service, tenant service, etc.). As a key player in a Scrum team, you will be responsible for helping to drive the end-to-end delivery of high-quality, secure, resilient, scalable and performant microservices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance new and existing microservices
- Assist the team in the architecture and design of Azure hosted microservices, ensuring solutions are developed using best practices and are fit for purpose
- Develop, improve and enhance CI/CD pipelines ensuring a robust, repeatable DevOps workflow
- Play a key role in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives, and ensuring sprint goals are achieved
- Mentor, support and provide expertise to members of the team
Skills and Experience
- Proficient with the Microsoft .NET Core and development environment including C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, Entity Framework and Visual Studio
- Experience with the Azure platform and PaaS services such as Service Bus, KeyVault, App Services, Azure SQL Database, etc.
- Experience of developing CI/CD pipelines
- A good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design
- Commercial experience of working on an enterprise level application
- A proven track record overseeing the development of a large / complex project
- Experience of relational database management systems (e.g.SQL Server,Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Strong interpersonal skills, working with internal technical staff and stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn new technical skills
Desirable/Advantageous:
- Experience of Domain Driven Design
- Experience of developing microservices
- Relevant Azure Certification such as AZ-204
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform
- Experience of using a SaaS Identity Provider such as Auth0
