An exciting position has opened at America's Socially Responsible Bank! Amalgamated Bank is seeking a BSA/AML Investigator to review customer activity and alerts for unusual activity using the Bank’s AML software and reports as well as other resources.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Review AML software alerts for unusual transaction activity in relation to customer’s transactions and/or Amalgamated Bank employees
2. Escalate activity identified as unusual to AML software cases for follow-up within prescribed regulatory time frames 
3. Research potential unusual activity by using the Bank’s various applications and third-party software, consistent with the applicable BSA policies and procedures. 
4. Analyze data and decide whether activity is normal or suspicious
5. Present case recommendations to SAR committee and participate in overall case resolution process
6. Perform the FinCEN 314a and OFAC screening
7. Perform EDD Reviews
8. Review CTR alerts for accuracy, completeness and filing
9. Keep abreast of changes in the laws and regulations by attending various training sessions, including seminars and webinars
10. Perform other duties as directed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum (2) year experience in banking operations and high-risk investigations
3. Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
4. Strong research and organizational skills
5. Ability to work independently with limited supervision
6. Ability to work with a diverse range of people
7. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and experience using internet search engines
8. Strong analytical, deductive reasoning and judgment skills

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $60,000.00 – $70,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
