Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.
Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their life easier and save them money.
As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.
More about our mission.
We’re looking for a People Programme Manager to lead our Programmes team. This role is based in London and sits within the broader People Programmes, Experience and Analytics team which is responsible for helping to build a high performing people function driving an exceptional colleague experience.
This role will partner across the entire People function to drive the successful delivery of all of our projects and programmes, as well as to embed and continuously improve project delivery within the function.
This role would suit someone highly collaborative who is experienced in programme management and comfortable with working at pace to build something new that drives a tangible impact across Wise.
Your mission is to transform how the people team plans and manages projects to enable an exceptional colleague experience
This role will give you the opportunity to:
Lead a small but mighty Programmes team - You will manage a team of 3 project managers who are based across London and Tallinn. Each project manager supports the projects of a member of our People Leadership team; you will be able to mentor them to provide project delivery excellence to their area of the People team. And you will work to be able to scale that service across the People team leveraging technology
Manage a complex programme of work - You will align our project portfolio to our People strategy and help us to make informed prioritisation decisions so we can achieve our goals at pace. You will continue to embed the governance processes we are establishing, and create new ones where necessary.
Embed and continuously improve project delivery - You have 3 project managers in your team so the key to successfully managing the entire project portfolio to deliver impact, will be to upskill the project delivery capability of the people team.
Collaborate with our teams around the world - You will be able to deliver work across multiple locations; managing complex projects with different geographic requirements and deliver them across multiple time zones.
About You:
You are a seasoned Programme Manager - able to establish credibility quickly and tailor your programme governance structures and controls to your environment. You will have a recognised programme or portfolio management qualification and likely a project management qualification too. You might also have a change management qualification and experience of managing programmes of work on Monday.com
You are an excellent communicator and highly collaborative - you are excellent at building relationships quickly and working across functions and locations; able to bring people together to achieve a common goal. You’re also an excellent communicator who is able to influence across matrix structures to get things done
You have a passion for working in a People team - you have worked in People teams before and enjoy the type of projects a People team delivers; you understand the impact they have on creating an amazing colleague experience
You understand good change management and communication are key to successful programme delivery - you’re great at guiding the business through the cumulative change your programme of projects brings; and amazing at communicating effectively and thoughtfully varying your style based on the circumstance
You think ‘globally’ - you’re experienced supporting leaders and employees split across geographies and timezones. You understand that ‘thinking globally’ is not just jargon, it’s key to the successful delivery of a global programme of work
