Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.
Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their life easier and save them money.
As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.
More about our mission.
Wise Platform helps banks, software companies and large enterprises leverage Wise’s infrastructure to offer their customers world class payments products through their own channels. Our partners make up some of the world’s biggest banks and online platforms, such as Monzo, N26, and Google. Wise Platform is a start-up within a scale up. We’re based across the world - from New York, to London, to Singapore and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced Technical Presales Engineer who will play a crucial role in our sales and solution design processes.
As the primary technical point-of-contact during the sales cycle, you will be charged with articulating Wise Platform’s value proposition, winning the trust of key decision-makers, and facilitating the closure of deals.
Presales Engineers are subject matter experts across both functional and technical domains. You will apply your expertise and product knowledge to design intelligent and scalable solutions for our prospective partners. The team’s goals are to drive the growth of Wise through partnerships and integrations, ensuring we can successfully deliver projects that accelerate us on our path to achieve the mission.
In addition to collaboration with go-to-market teams, this role involves close work with Product and Engineering, which will give you great opportunities to contribute and learn from those building and evolving our world-class products.
Your mission:
You will engage directly with partners and prospects to provide solution consulting, technical advice and product expertise.
You will work in conjunction with the business development team, being a key stakeholder in the sales process from discovery and solution design through to implementation kickoff.
You will utilise industry and domain expertise to tailor solutions for partners, finding a match between our technical capabilities and their requirements.
You will work on sales collateral, demos, proof of concepts, RFPs, and any other material to help get potential deals over the line.
You will ensure the viability of solutions by testing and documenting an end to end solution.
You will share feedback from your experiences to the product teams in Wise Platform to drive roadmaps in order to create more opportunities for growth.
Some of your focus areas will be:
Laying out a clear picture of our product and features to our partners, as well representing the future roadmap.
Accountability to define a solution in collaboration with the product teams, identifying any potential gaps along the way. Define timelines and manage expectations with our partners.
Creating a suite of resources to explain and sell Wise’s technical proposition.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
Choose your own path to success – you’ll have the freedom to define the vision and responsibility for making it happen.
Help define Wise’s technical presales function as we expand it across the globe.
Scope and design payments partnerships with the world’s biggest brands.
Inspire teams with your ideas, knowledge and self-starter attitude.
Advocate and engage technical communities to attract attention to the Wise Platform.
Travel to work with our teams and meet with prospects around the world.
You have a proven track record of driving successful outcomes in a presales capacity.
You are personable and you are good at stakeholder management. You are able to represent Wise and our values to external partners in a professional way, explaining technical problems and solutions to non-technical audiences.
Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and understanding of different technology stacks.
You don’t need to be a software developer, but you need to have good technical skills and be comfortable with talking to engineers and other technical stakeholders.
You understand the value of balancing customer centric thinking and technical skills and can bridge the gap between business and technical experts.
Being comfortable reading technical documentation and using it to test and define solutions.
You put the customer above technology, while finding ways to leverage technology to solve customer problems.
You have strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
Established history of effective collaboration within or alongside financial institutions, demonstrating a strong grasp of their challenges and needs.
Passion for payments and international finance.
Familiarity with correspondent banking, SWIFT, and foreign exchange.
Demonstrated experience speaking at conferences and public events.
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
