Role Summary
The accountant's role encompasses scrutinizing financial data and compiling financial statements to monitor or uphold records of assets, liabilities, income, expenditures, tax responsibilities, and other financial transactions within the organization.
What’s On Your Plate?
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance and trends.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements, including VAT filings and statutory audits.
Assist in preparing annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting to identify areas for improvement and support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implement internal controls, and optimize financial operations.
Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects, initiatives, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
What Did We Order?
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is mandatory.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software such as MSD, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is preferred. Familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel is also essential for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Must manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines effectively.
