Our Public Affairs team is a leading voice on government collaboration and policy advocacy among the wider e-commerce industry across the MENA region. As Public Affairs Senior Manager this will be your opportunity to be part of this conversation, and lead on some key regulatory and policy solutions that benefits talabat and the wider ecosystem.
What’s On Your Plate?
Identify, monitor, analyze and report on current and future regulatory issues in all markets where talabat is active.
Gather intelligence, and reports on legislative and regulatory agendas.
Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings, as well as memos, and position papers when needed.
Cross-functionally work with internal stakeholders such as communications, legal and the broader policy teams.
Advise internal colleagues and teams on public policy matters to help guide the development of products, services and policies.
Gather global best practices and benchmarks, and create a log for key visions and governmental plans in the region.
Create talking points and material to the management team on policy related topics.
Represent the company in government meetings, and policy discussions around the region when needed.
What Did We Order?
Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Policy or related field.
7+ years of experience in the public affairs and government relations field.
Deep knowledge of the Middle East's policy environment.
Superb English and Arabic verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate cross functionally while being accountable to public affairs matters.
Proven track record in policy partnership/campaign building.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Tech industry, consultancy and government projects experience are preferred.
