Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility between remote and on-site work. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA certification and extensive experience in estate and trust taxation, with the ability to read trust agreements and perform accounting tasks to prepare accurate tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:Review and interpret trust agreements to understand tax implicationsPerform accounting tasks based on trust financial informationPrepare estate and trust tax returns accurately and in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsAnalyze complex tax situations and provide strategic tax planning advice to clientsCommunicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide guidance on tax mattersStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting estate and trust taxation
Qualifications:CPA certification (Required)5-6 years of accounting experience, with a focus on estate and trust taxationStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectivelyProficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office suite
