Position Overview:We are seeking a Tax Compliance Associate to join our team in Catonsville, MD. As a Tax Compliance Associate, you will work closely with our tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development and advancement in the field of taxation.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returnsConduct research on various tax issues and assist in providing tax planning advice to clientsPrepare supporting schedules and documentation for tax filingsCommunicate effectively with clients and internal team members to gather necessary information for tax complianceStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1-2 years of experience in accounting and taxStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software (experience with Lacerte or ProSystem FX Tax is a plus)CPA candidate or willingness to pursue CPA certification is preferred
