The A La Carte Team at River Oaks Country Club provides a full range of A La Carte services to Members and guests across 3 restaurants and the Club bar. Reporting to the A La Carte Dining Manager.   Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages designated A la Carte outlet in the manner most pleasing to Members and their guests.
• Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of all Member areas.
• Assists in the planning of dining room and area set-up based upon anticipated Member/guest counts.
• Supervises, trains, evaluates staff.
• Maintains a presence in all dining areas of the club through-out service.
• Provides appropriate reports concerning employee hours, schedules and job changes.
• Receives and resolves complaints concerning food, beverages, and service.
• Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
• Works with Chefs to build promotions in dining areas.
• Ensures that all side work is completed according to Club standards.
• Assists with pre-shift meetings. Relays information and policy changes as they occur.
• Assists with building staff schedules within budgetary restraints.
• Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining areas, equipment and fixtures.
• Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies.
• Assists with improvements in service procedures.
• Responsible for assuring that staff has correctly and completely closed all Member checks and have closed their day in point of sales.

Qualifications

• 3- 5 years working in upscale, full-service dining.
• Flexible schedule, willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Organized, detailed and able to follow practices and procedures.
• Well-groomed and professional in appearance.
• Proficient with technology and Microsoft applications.
• TABC Certified.
