River Oaks Country Club is looking for a Host for their A La Carte Dining rooms. This critical position is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality to members and guests, managing reservations and ensuring smooth dining experiences.
Full-time opportunity -$17.00 - $19.00 hour + Competitive Benefits + Exceptional Employee Amenities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome Members as they arrive. Provides them with a gracious and friendly introduction to their dining experience.
- Escorts Members to their tables.
- Manages dining reservations: Maintains an accurate record of the reservations, seating preferences and special requests.
- Organizes and manages table allocations to optimize seating capacity, taking into considerations the flow of service and Member preferences. Coordinates with the dining team to ensure smooth transitions between seating.
- Maintains a waitlist during peak times. Keeps Members informed about their estimated wait times.
- Establish and maintains a relationship with members, attending to their needs and preferences.
- Ensures menu covers and menus are clean and presentable.
- Ensures all supplies are readily available before and during service.
- Collaborates with the restaurant teams to ensure the restaurants standards are maintained at a high level, coordinating lighting, music and decor to create a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assists management in monitoring and ensuring compliance with restaurant policies, procedures and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Standards of Training, Food Handlers and TABC Certification.
- Must speak and read fluent English.
- Previous Host/Hostess experience is preferred.
