MaintainX is looking for a strong Revenue Accounting Manager to join our growing Financial Reporting team.

As the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue recognition cycle in accordance with ASC 606. The Revenue Accounting Manager will be the focal point on revenue recognition and contract structuring, supporting new product introduction, playing an integral role in our revenue accounting processes, working cross functionally with our Sales, Revenue Operations, FP&A teams and other key stakeholders. As a fast-growing company, there will be opportunities to lead special projects, which will enable you to expand your skill set while helping MaintainX build new accounting capabilities, processes, develop controls, and identify opportunities for automation that will help us scale. 

What you’ll do:

• Own and manage monthly closing activities for revenue, cost of revenue, deferred revenue, deferred cost and any associated revenue or cost of revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP.
• Lead the preparation of technical accounting memos and related analyses to document the company position on technical accounting matters in accordance with ASC 606.
• Support and supervise the billing team in their daily tasks. Suggest process improvements with respect to the billing and collections process.
• Develop and drive strategic plans and objectives for the quote to cash process throughout the organization.
• Help establish, maintain, and grow our control framework within the revenue function.
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as Revenue Operations and Sales team to implement actions to support scale and growth.

About you:

• CPA, or equivalent
• 5-6 years of experience in Finance/Accounting in SAAS / "SAAS-like" technology companies or organizations. 
• Strong technical GAAP accounting skills with concentration on ASC 606 
• Effective communication skills, including establishing credibility, trust and influential relationships with cross functional teams 
• Proven success maintaining positive attitude while handling multiple (and sometimes competing) priorities and leading projects with significant change management requirements 
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team with excellent interpersonal skills and passion for developing talent 
• Strong drive to achieve goals while working effectively with cross-functional teams
