Manager, Security Department at NFL

Job Descrption

Overview /Objective

The Security Department Manager will assist in the management of investigations and coordinate background checks conducted by the NFL, including working with the vendors utilized by the NFL for these processes. The Security Department Manager will also assist with many of the day-to-day operations of the NFL Security Department.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as system administrator for the NFL Security Department’s Case Management System
  • Provide assistance to existing users and train new users
  • Review and coordination of multiple background check processes conducted by the league
  • Manage the security department’s document library and create/edit forms
  • Assist with office duties, including review of security cameras, card and visitor access program, and other administrative duties
  • Receive, vet, and disseminate inbound requests for assistance
  • Manage evidence collected by the NFL during investigations
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Security in the management of security vendors
  • Participate in NFL Security cross-functional projects as assigned
  • Support security department on league tentpole events and International Series Games
  • Manage invoices and handle financial reporting for NFL security representatives on a regular basis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Proactive self-starter who works well within a team
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of case management applications/software
  • Investigative experience
  • Experience in office administration
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Travel

  • This position requires minimal travel. 

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • FSLA Exempt 
  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This position will require some work on weekends and/or overtime.
